Red Carpet : The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival Part 02

Check out the whole Cannes' red carpet journey!
Part 01

I must say, this year Cannes is full of worth to awe for dresses. Let's pick up where we left on the Cannes Film Festival. From the part 2 of the The Cannes' red carpet, Sienna Miller, Diane Kruger, Naomi Watts and Fan Bingbing (again) immediately caught the best dress radar.

For the premiere of The Sea of Trees, Sienna Miller goes color-block. The dress she wore is rather on the laid-back type, it has a sexy lace up on the back and with her messy up-do she looks effortlessly gorgeous. Moreover, I spy a kite there!

Diane Kruger arrived to the premiere of The Sea of Trees on a gorgeous embellished halter neck dress. She looks like goddess in those dusty blue shade. The train that comes from nape of her neck covering her backless dress and the gorgeous embellishment detail is really worth the spotlight.

The gorgeous Naomi Watts also turns spectators into an awe with her gray feathery dress. From head to toe, the dress screams out an insane handwork detailing with the embellishment on top and whole feather skirt (it also has pockets!). To keep the proportion balanced, she pair up the look with sleek side swept bun and simple accessories.

Last, Fan Bingbing once again made it to our best dress list (consecutive 3 times a row). On the premiere of the Mad Max, Fan Bingbing literally looks like a fairy that come straight up from a fairy-tale book with her flower appliqued dress. She paired up the beautiful dress with matching flower hair accessories which make the whole look so dreamy and romantic.

Red Carpet : The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival Part 01

Part 02

The world's most prestigious festival of cinema is finally arrived, yes it is The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival. Whereas in Coachella our favorite fashionistas wear a more laid-back summer look, the Cannes Film Festival is all about the red carpet dresses. The Film festival will be held from 13-24th of May, so, prepare yourself for a week full of dramatic red carpet looks.

For the part 01, of the Cannes' red carpet look, our vote for best dress undeniably goes to Charlize Theron, Fan Bingbing, Emma Stone and Sienna Miller.

Charlize Theron swoon us over with her simple strapless yellow dress with dramatic long train for the Mad Max Premiere. Guess that Charlize Theron always succeed to turn a simple dress into a desirable red carpet look, all thanks to her chic and elegant aura.

Yet, again, Fan Bingbing mesmerized us with her choices for Cannes' red carpet. She looks romantic yet elegant in her white embroidery dress, with dramatic sleeve *slash* train. To match up the whole elegant look, she chose a more subtle hairstyle and less dramatic makeup.

Loves Emma Stone! Whenever she walked on the red carpet, she always managed to captivate the spectators. Ms. Stone arrived for the premiere of Irrational Man on a simple but graceful white dress with 90s neckline and a choker necklace. Some says it is more of bridal look rather than a red carpet look, I must say, non sense! She looks gorgeous, period.

Hollywood Recap 04/05/2015 - 10/05/2015

Simple cut and shiny!

Yes, you heard me, our beloved fashionistas agreed on one theme for last week best dressed.

The red carpet queen, Charlize Theron is gorgeous as ever in her simple black and white color block dress, she really know how to work the simple monochromatic look into something that worth the praise. Our beloved Jennifer Lawrence also looks sexy as hell on the Met Gala After Party with her slip on silver maxi dress, after all it is all about the body beneath it that make the dress though. On the other hand, the lovely Natalie Portman is looking chic in her mini embellished Dior dress, classy and elegant. Last but not least, the Victoria Secret's angel is fabulous with her two pieces full embellished outfit, one word, Goddess!

Met Gala 2015 Red Carpet - China: Through the Looking Glass, part 02

Whereas at part 01 we have seen Beyonce, Rihanna, Kerry Washington, Solange, and others red carpet look, now lets pick up what we left on the Met Gala 2015 red carpet moment. The part 02 is more bizzare than ever, with Lady Gaga OVER-sized kimono, Sarah Jessica Parker headpiece and a dragon on Jennifer Lopez.

Jennifer Lopez is wearing Versace custom red dragon embelished sheed dress. We can see that she took the literal interpretation of 'China' here from the Met Gala theme (or it is Donatella Versace that took it literal, because she even wear a rather gothic version of cheongsam). Never the less, Jennifer Lopez's toned body looks great in most of the outfit anyway, so give it a pass.

The bizzare Queen Lady Gaga arrived in over-sized kimono kinda outfit with an undeniably thick eyebrow and peacock like headpiece. She also wear a Jean Paul Gautier platform boots, talking about over-the-top dramatic and theatrical outfit.

Next, we can see that SJP really loves headpiece for ther fashion statement in Met Gala. Over the year she really tried hard to rocks the red carpet with her theatrical headpieces. However, we are not quite sure about the corelation of the headpiece with the theme, maybe because the headpiece resemble the headpiece that Chinese opera often wear for performance?!

Lastly, we keep the best for the last. The queen of the Met Gala 2015 should goes to Fan BingBing, with hint of gold dress under her gorgeous green cape. She lets the spotlight sits on her outfit with her sleek hair and simple smokey makeup.

Met Gala 2015 Red Carpet - China: Through the Looking Glass, part 01

This year Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit has officially begun with the Met Gala 2015 as the grand opening. The theme itself is quite tricky to tackle as many fashion critics has predicted, either it is literal interpretation of 'China', out of context with boring red carpet dresses or maybe it will be something that is beyond our imagination. Long (or longest) dramatic train is spotted on the scene of this year Met Gala, either it is asymetric, mermaid shiloutte and even cape. However, we should give up the champion for Kerry Washington, Rihanna and Beyonce for their boldness.

Kerry Washington chose a perfect ball gown with train and it is in PINK. Okay, it might sounds as a lame excuse, however it is really a dream for every girl outhere to wear tis romantic siloutte dress, kinda reminded me of upgraded version of sleeping beauty dress. She also make a bold choice by pairing it up with green accessories.

On the other hand, Rihanna here look like an upgraded version of Belle with her cape with dramatic train by Guo Pei. Yes it is yellow, it is long (-est), and I believe the whole looks owns the stairs like a queen. Her sleek bob look contrasting to her extravagant outfit and yet she paired it nicely with a matching golden headpiece.

Last but not least, the real queen B reign the red carpet with her (almost) nude dress with colorful embelishment. She match the outfit with a sleek towering ponytail. Maybe sheer is really the new black, not only Beyonce rock the semi-nude dress, Ms. Kim K also rocks the sheer embellished look.

Hollywood Recap 27/04/2015 - 03/05/2015

Another glory week for Elizabeth Banks, Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson! They perfectly scored a home-run on the red carpet last week. With the 2015 Billboard Latin Awards happening in the heart of Holywood, of course our favorite Latin singer, Ms. Lopez, is one of the strong contender for the best dressed. They have proven that black and white is not a boring fashion staple, both black and white is indeed make a strong impression on red carpet. Another trend that we catch from the red carpet moment is cut-out dress and sheer fabric, it really feels like summer has come to town.

Hollywood Recap 20/04/2015 - 26/04/2015

Last week is exceptionally packed with premiere and gala, from the premiere of Avengers, Age of Adaline, and Pitch Perfect 2 to the Times 100 Gala.
There is a tendency for more edgy slash androgini slash feminine red carpet outfit with so many evident of jumpsuit and pants on the red carpet last week. Regarding of the event, Emma Watson, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde and many more star looks more confident and fabulous in their pants. However, hands down to Blake Lively with her (more than three) post-baby red carpet outfit, from the premiere to the extend of street style, Mrs. Reynolds always look a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

P.s : don't forget to check out what you missed on last week Academy of Country Music Awards, here!

Red Carpet : Academy of Country Music Awards 2015

The biggest country music event finally hit Texas. With their 50th annual, the ACM Awards 2015 is really gleamed up with A-list country singer and Hollywood A-lister Even their host Reese Witherspoon and Sophia Vergara look lavishing as always. However, I am afraid that the best dress of the night should go to Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift with their cutout and peek-a-boo dress.

Check out the rest of your favorite fashionista, enjoy!
